Carson grew up in a creative environment. He was introduced to the design process at an early age by his father who was a packaging designer. Possessing an instinct for problem solving and a curiosity of how things are made led Carson to study industrial design. After graduating from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia Carson moved to New York and worked for several design firms before starting his own consulting business. Carson has received many awards and acknowledgements for his inspiration and original designs.
Carson is an excellent creative resource with a refined aesthetic sense, computer 3D modeling skills and knowledge in all areas of materials and processes. Extensive visualization techniques with experience in co-collaboration processes and analysis provide the ability to uncover insights for strategic innovation. Participation in research, project management, concept creation and development with agencies, companies and manufacturers has provided the experience of working with people in interdisciplinary situations. This skill set combined with over 25 years of consulting experience makes a valuable resource for a variety of design challenges.
Innovative structural packaging and product design programs which include bottle design, boxboard structures and thermoformed plastics have improved and increased functionality while defining a brand's image. Contributions to merchandising projects for the cosmetic, consumer electronics, recreational, food and pharmaceutical industries has brought increased brand awareness at point of purchase.
